My manager introduced me to this game Letterboxing.
He does this with his kids here in town and when they go on vacations. It sounds like so much fun. His kids love it. They are going to Disney after Christmas and are going to hunt for boxes there as well.
I think I will take M this weekend to find a few in our city. What a great way to spend time with your children.
The quick review: It is a treasure hunt. Items have been hidden all over the US. You look in the area you are in and get the "map". It is a page that gives you directions and clues to find the hidden box. Once found, you will find a stamp of some sort and stamp your book, date it and list the location. You then stamp the boxes book with your own stamp and write in your "code name" and city you live in and then hide the box back for someone else to find.
I am actually excited to start this game!
