Time

I can not believe in two weeks I will be on a plane to Indiana. I have no time! I am swamped here at the office and will have to work weekends. I have done ZERO shopping for Christmas, this weekend is completely scheduled and next weekend is filling up.

I have to sqeeze some shopping time in. I have no money but really need to buy me some things since we will be around his family and I have gained a lot of weight over the past several months. Of course...go home for Christmas at my heaviest. But he says I look great so I am keeping that running through my head.

I am really excited about Christmas. I am a really high strung person so I am trying not to stress out too much about my schedule this month.

I am the worst at shopping though. I want to get everyone everything...so it is hard for me to choose. J is really hard to buy for. Either he already buys what he wants or what he wants is really expensive. He has already bought two things I was going to get him. I told him he is not allowed to buy anything else until after Christmas.

Well...Happy Holidays and be careful shopping.

Tree

We bought our tree Sunday and I put the lights on that night. Then last night we decorated.

Molly and I decorated and J filmed. I did put him to work on the top of the tree...his tallness can came in handy at times. :) Molly had a blast! Realizing what a control freak I can be...I let her put her ornaments anywhere she wanted. So she did the bottom half completely by herself. She was so excited!

After she was done..she told me she just loved her tree so much. We put JC and C's presents from last year(yes..last year...) under the tree. Then Molly ran into her room and said, "I need to get my shoes..they go under the tree too." When asked why her response was , "cause I want too..they look pretty." Who can argue with that. So under our pretty green tree decorated in silver and blue sits two gifts in silver and blue paper, holiday stuffed snowman, reindeer, pig, cow and a pair of pink saddle shoes. I love it!

She also loves the smell of the tree. That is my favorite part too so I was happy when she walked in the door yesterday and said, "Oh...Mommy it smells so good in here now."

I love her so much. She is at a great age!

Early Ice

Looks like ice, sleet and snow. Usually it hits around Jan ..Feb..early this year I guess.

I will be heading out soon to go pick up the little one and probably work from home tomorrow. Roads are good here in downtown but I hear it is sleeting and icing pretty good at home.

I told M this morning it might snow and she got really excited...but then realized why. She thought Santa was coming today if it snowed! Guess all the Christmas programs show it snowing when he comes so she thought it would be today.

Here in Tx..everything closes when there is a chance of winter weather....no one here knows how to drive on the stuff...myself included..so everyone be careful!

Just heard now that one of the highways were I live is closed...I am outta here!

Stirring Things Up

Well guess I stirred things up with my Christmas cards. The card had M's christmas picture taken at school and it reads from J with his last name listed and myself and M with our last names listed. Okay, it was never a thought NOT to list him name. Guess it should have been.

Many people have asked why would I put his name on the card if we were not married. Then they ask if we got married and I did not tell anyone or if we are living together. The answer is no to both. Ya know I just sent the cards. I did not mean for everyone to get so freaked by it. J and I have had our problems and things are going much better but I did not sit back and think to myself should I include him or not. I just did.

I was sending greetings from all of us. Regardless of the future..the card is from all of us. Maybe is does give off the wrong idea and I should of considered that when addressing the cards.

Only one person commented on it with a "thats great" response. Others have questioned me intensely and stated that I should not have listed his name. His family was extremely thrilled to see our names together and I think mine were as well. Of course there are others who have not commented at all so do think everyone had a reaction.

But ya know..regardless of what the future holds, J and I sent those cards out the best of intensions and truely wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Outta Here

That is right in about 30 minutes I am outta here until Dec the 28th! Out of the office that is...I CAN'T WAIT!!

I am sure it will be horrible when I get back but I am free for now! We leave on the 21st for Indiana so I will have a couple of days for me before we leave. J does have a surprise for me though. All I know is that I have to be at his place at 9:30am on Monday. Can't wait! He gives the BEST surprises!

If I do not post again ..Everyone have a Wonderful and Safe Christmas!

Quickie

Christmas was wonderful. We all had a great time. I was a little nervous at first but that went away quickly. I seemed to fit in with his family really well.

Of course they all LOVED Molly. She had a blast. She had someone to play with at all times and actually went down for her naps rather well. She really enjoyed the plane trips and J was great with her. He was a HUGE help..we were a team and it worked really well.

We will travel to my parents this weekend and have Christmas there. M can't wait to see them.

Back at the office.....yuck. That is the best I can say.

Will post more later.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Never Too Late

Borrowed from Shannon:

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate. I always want Egg Nog but as soon as I try it I wonder why I ever wanted it.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them around the tree? Santa always sets them around the tree. This was a debate this Christmas and I won!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I prefer white.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, never really thought to hang it.

5. When do you put your decorations up? Usually the first or second week of December.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Do not think I really have one since we do not always have the same dinner at Christmas. I guess I would say the ham.

7. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I was in jr high. Yes. I know that is late but my mother was very convincing. I actually got into a fight with another girl and when I got home with bruises my mother finally told me the truth.

8. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Usually one gift...the PJ's, robe or slippers.

9. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him? Whatever kind is made.

10. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it. Live in Tx..do not see much of it.

11. Can you ice skate? Well...I can stay up as long as I hold on to the rail...does that count?

12. Do you remember your favorite gift? I am not sure. But I do remember finding my Miss Piggy puppet in the closet before Christmas so as punishment for looking it was set out in the living room until Christmas and I was not allowed to touch it.

13. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Family

14. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Fudge

15. What is your favorite holiday tradition? I really do not have much "tradition" but I guess I would say now...going to pick out a Christmas tree with Molly and J.

16. What tops your tree? An angel.

17. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving? Easy answer...I LOVE giving!

18. What is your favorite Christmas Carol? As of this Christmas..Oh Christmas Tree ..Molly's version.

19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yum!

20. What is your favorite holiday? It was Halloween...but now I would say Christmas. I really love getting together with family.

Happy New Year

I am off to my parent's house for the weekend to have Christmas again.

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Years Eve!

We will have a quiet evening with the family...but I did manage to stop and get a nice bottle of champagne.

Enjoy and see you next year!
