Vote! I hope so! I voted and I am glad I did...the vote is looking close.
My candidate may not win but at least I know I voted and was heard.
Tonight the country mu$ic award$ were on. My girl loved the hour that she was able to watch.
I found out when she was an infant how much she was drawn to country music. Now I am not one that follows country music but I do like it and can appreciate talented people of any muscial background. One day flipping channels I stopped on a country station and she loved it. After that I listened to country music in the car when she was with me. I read and my doctor mentioned that recent reports had showed that children responded to country music more than classical. I thought oh...that is why...I do not think that anymore.
Molly's bio father was a musician and I love music. It just gets in me in a way I can not explain. I can write songs but can not sing. I have always wished I could....Well I think my wish is coming true through Molly.
Tonight when Tim M opened the show she stopped in her place and started dancing. Then she started singing.."laaa laaa laaa laaaa". When the song was over she clapped and said "yay" and then was upset that he did not sing more. Later Gretchen W sang and Molly swayed to the slow song and sang her la la's much softer. When Martina M sang she sat in my lap, swayed and whispered her la la's. When the song was over we sang our song. Together this time. Usually it is Mommy first then Molly....but she sang it with me. It brought tears to my eyes and now as I type.
I am so happy that she loves music. Music touches my heart in ways I can not put into words. I think this might be something we can share. In her bed tonight I heard her singing to her baby dolls. That is what I always do with her. I could listen to her sing for hours...it was great to watch her react to the performances. My singing beauty.
Yes it is...and tickets came in...late but made it....
Margarita Ball time!!
It is the BEST black tie ball in Dallas. It is provides children in need with many toys and adults with never ending free margaritas. I love the ball but the best is the after parties.
Got the invite late so having to scramble for the sitter and a dress...fast and furious but worth it. This time last year is when J ignited the spark that made me notice him at this same ball so I am so glad a year later we are going back together.
Don't wait up cause it will be morning before we make it back to our room!
Sorry...K & M...tried to get an extra invite was not able to.....
