Mobile Molly

That is right...she took 5 whole steps last night at my brothers!!

I have been so busy lately that I have not had time to give all the updates on Molly. She really has accomplished a great deal in the past two weeks. So, real quick I had to tell you about the steps. Now..she has been taking about two steps and then sitting down so this is different.

I had to work late so my brother picked her up. When I got there she was so excited to see me. My sister-n-law was trying to take her picture and was having trouble working the camera. Molly was standing up against the frig facing us as I looked over to help my S-n-L....I looked up and Molly was walking towards us! All by herself!!!

I was so excited! She is such a big girl.

Another real quick.....she said Elmo the other day. He came on tv and she said "Emo" and I thought...no she is just making noise. Then he came back on in a few seconds and she turns to me and points at the tv and says, "Emo..momma" How darn cute is that!!!! She is not even a year old and can say several words.

Okay...I must run another busy day.

I can't wait to read posts like this on Camille's site!!!!

My Evening Out

I had fun Saturday night! I went to the State Fair with Camille, Josh, Merrin and Kevin. It was great to finely meet Merrin and Kevin. They are both too funny!!! I was told Merrin was on the quiet side due to her evening out the night before so I can't wait till our next outing. I thought she was pretty darn funny Saturday so I my expectations
have been set. :)

I enjoyed the company but was disappointed in the food. The Fair usually has the best junk food on a stick but it just was not up to par this time. Now...of course I still ate it don't get me wrong I am not a complete fool...junk food is junk food ya know.

The Fried Twinkie was better than I thought it would be and I had a bite of Josh's Fried Oreo. Fried suger.....now that is good food. :)

Thanks guys for letting me crash your party. I had a great time.

Sunday Dinner

Josh made a great meal Sunday. I may try and make the same dinner soon. That squash was incredible!

Thanks for a wonderful weekend. Molly and I enjoyed the day yesterday. She was out minutes into the drive. When we got home she was like a drunk baby as I changed her clothes and gave her a bottle. She was worn out!

I really enjoyed just hanging out with both of you. Molly sure does love her Aunt Mille and I think she has a crush on Uncle Josh!

HER Foundation

This week the HER Foundation is asking HG survivors and friends and family of HG survivors to write to Oprah and tell their stories.

I have written to the show as well as my best friend. We are both writing again to join in the effort to help others become aware of HG. I am a HG survivor. I have not yet posted my complete story on this site but I will soon. My friend posted about me when while I was pregnant and since then has helped many women. One post reached several others and helped direct them to the assitance that was needed...think of how many Oprah can reach. Many women abort due to this illness because of the lack of knowledge of HG in the medical profession.

If you are aware of HG please take a moment and write to Oprah.

Thanks/

Stressing

My father is keeping Molly this weekend. I have a friend coming into town for the evening and I am getting ready for her FIRST Birthday party next weekend.

It always sounds like a good idea at the time but when the time gets here I stress out. I don't want her to go but yet I know I get a great deal accomplished by myself. I am so torn. They are picking her up from school in about 20 minutes. I am just a bundle of nerves. Do you think it is a sign....a sign that she should not go???

I hate her being in a car. I hate it even more that she will be in the car for 2 hours. I am just being overprotective right???

Do I do this each time she leaves me? I am sure I do but it feels like the first time.

Okay...please send out happy thoughts that she will be just fine this weekend.

THANKS!

Friday

Well....I got over Molly leaving. She is having a blast at Grandpaw's.

I met a friend for drinks Friday after work. It was great to see him. We had a fun conversation. The manager hit on my again so I had to drop the bomb.

Manager Jerk Guy: So its been a long time...what have you been up to?
Me: Oh...not alot....but next week my baby is turning ONE.
MJG: {Jaw to the ground}......Wwwwwwwhat?

It was too funny. My friend cracked up. The guy would wait till my friend went to the men's room and then would come over and ask for a hug and tell me how great I looked. Too funny!

I left there and went to meet a friend who was in town for the evening. It was so great to see him. I realized how much I really miss him. We had a wonderful evening just hanging out and talking. I wish he could have stayed longer. It just felt so right.

A Clean Home

I had a cleaning lady come over today. It was worth every penny!!!!

They were great and I feel so much better. I did laundry and organizing while they cleaned. It was a team effort.

I will be using her more often. She has great prices and did a wonderful job.

:) Yay..a clean home.

Nonna's Girl

Well Molly is back and MORE spoiled than ever!!

She had a blast at Nonna and Grandpaw's. She was all about her Nonna. I felt bad for my Dad but he understood it was just a phase. If Nonna left the room she would cry and pretty much ignore my Dad. She would play with him but not really go to him. She finally did when I picked her up on Sunday. Nonna was holding her but she wanted her Grandpaw.

She came back with a huge tub full of clothes and toys. I thought maybe these were her birthday gifts...no just extras. :) Molly was in heaven with all the toys.

She was happy to see Mommy so that was nice! I missed her kisses!

Party

I am having Molly's birthday party Saturday afternoon.

It will be a small party but it really is a great deal of work. I have much to do tonight and tomorrow morning. It is not too easy with the little one getting into everything.

I am sure Molly will be over whelmed with everyone at her house. She will have a blast though! Elmo is the theme. It is going to look like Elmo exploded all over the place! :) I can't wait to see the cake. I special ordered it at a wonderful bakery in Dallas. A big cake w/ Elmo on it and then a mini cake for the birthday girl to have all by herself. I really am excited.

I have held out a few presents for her actual birthday on Tuesday. I wish I had the day off to spend with her. I am taking gifts for all the kids in her class at school so they can have a little party that day.

I can't believe a year has past. We both survived! Every parent told me the first year was the hardest but I have to disagree. It was a change but not the hardest.

Have a great day.

Fun Weekend

The party went well. Molly had a GREAT time!! I was running the entire time from the moment I got off work Friday till the end of the day Saturday. It was well worth it because my girl had a blast!

She did extremely well with all the people and her cousins getting into everything. I actually let her do whatever she wanted with her little personal cake. Pictures soon. She was a mess. Later others told me they were proud of me for letting her get so messy. I hope I am not too bad when it comes to that stuff...guess I am though from their reaction.

She was on a sugar high though! She has NEVER had that much suger. I even spiked her water with Tropical Sprite Remix. She was in heaven!

Yesterday...we went to Chuck E. Cheese's to another party. Molly had a blast again!! She just loves "loons"..that would be balloons. Two of the mothers commented on how well Molly eats..that is that she will eat all of her lunch and not play or throw a fit for candy. I did not want to say it but ...it is because she does not get candy and junk food. They were giving their 12 month olds coke and cake and candy. Sorry...maybe I am a mean mom but Molly only needs that stuff on occasion. It will not be part of her diet.

So we had a great weekend!

Court

I have court today. I can use all the happy thoughts you can throw at me!

UPDATE:

Thanks for the happy thoughts......they worked. :)

The Day After

Well....I got out of the office early yesterday and Molly and I spent the afternoon playing.

We went to the park first but it was 90 degrees outside!! 90! October 21st...90! When I had her last year it was COLD outside....what a difference a year makes.

Anyway...we played for awhile and then sat and watched the birds. Molly loves to watch birds so I thought I would toss a few crackers out. So I gingerly toss and HUNDREDS of birds came out of nowhere and surrounded us. Okay...it really seemed like a hundred to me. I pretty much have a fear of birds and I was freaking out! These birds were at my feet that is how close they were. Then they started fighting over the darn crackers which made them float up in the air a little around my knees. I was really freaking out. Finally I could not handle it anymore and had to leave. I got up and started stomping my feet so they would move enough for me to get out. I went to the covered pavillian and turn to my horror.....THE DARN THINGS FOLLOWED US!

Okay, if anyone was watching they had to have been laughing their ass off. I think back and laugh but I was not laughing at the time. I was really scared. All I could think of was the movie The Birds. Okay...my heart is pounding just thinking about it. I did not realize I had such a phodia of birds.

Oh...you want to know Molly's reaction....she LOVED it. She was having a blast. She was laughing and pointing....just had a ball. That is the only reason I sat a long as I did otherwise I would have been out of there in a flash!

After the horrifing bird incident....we played at the house for several hours. She was so tired by 7:00 that she was laying down on the floor to play. She would pull a toy close to her and then lay down next to it. She is such a cutie!

Happy Birthday Sweetie...I love soooooo much!

DayCare Hell

I have to get my girl out of day care! I am taking her out of the one she is in now so my day care will go up $250 a month.

The hardest thing is getting away from the office to meet with the new school. At this montessori school you have to have an hour long orientation in the morning and then enroll her. I have to make it work this week. I cried the entire way to her school this morning and the way to the office.

I really hate Randy right now.
