I am Back!

Hi everyone! It seems like forever since I have blogged. Sure I was not missed but I missed you!

Last Saturday

My sister-n-law's brother came into town, J.R. He is 24, young, cute and we have a blast when we go out. My Dad and step-mom came into town to sit for Molly and we went out.

First let me say my week had been so stressfull that I had waited till the last minute to clean house. Molly was not feeling all that well so I did not get much sleep. I got up early that Sat and began cleaning. I did not stop! I think the first time I sat down was around 6:00.

1st Chuck E. Cheese Visit

Molly went to Chuck E. Cheese. It was JR's last night so we all went. It was Deanna and Shawn's first time as well. Deanna, 3, Shawn, 2, my niece and nephew. Actually it was my brother and sister-n-laws first time as well.

The kids had a blast! Molly sat in the high chair all by herself. She is four months old and can sit in a high chair. She is such a big girl.

We all had a great time!

Dinner with a Friend

Tuesday night another friend was in town. My brother baby-sat and we went to dinner. I was extremely tired but had a nice evening.

We went to an Venice, an Italian place down the street. It was nice. Great food, warm atmosphere and wonderful piano music. It was nice to have dinner with a man and relax. Slow down and enjoy the moment.

Sleep..?

With such a busy week and work being as stressfull as can be...I am exhausted. Molly has a cold so she has not slept much this week. I paid for Saturday night all week!!

Next time, if there is a next time, I will let my parents keep Molly over night. They want to so bad but I am not ready.

It was nice to have a life outside the house again though.

The Park

Molly and I went to the park yesterday. It was wonderful. The weather was a bit warmer so we enjoyed the day outside for a change.

We walked the path and then sat for awhile and watched a group of men play basketball. Then we moved to the playground area. She giggled and smiled as she watch the children at play. I chatted with a few of the mothers and all commented at how beautiful Molly is.

It was a great day! I love my girl!

Scott

My friend, Scott, e-mailed Wed and said it could be any day and his little Sydney will be here. His wife is not due till the 13th or 17th, but at the Drs visit Tues they said it could be as early as 48 hours.

Have not heard from him. So I hope all is well!!

I am so exicted for you Scott. I can not wait to meet little Sydney!!!

Best wishes!

Little Fever

My girl has a fever. When I got her up yesterday morning, she was fussy. She is never fussy in the morning. When I dropped her off at school she felt warm to me, but day care said she was probably fine. When I picked her up she felt hot, again daycare said she was fine. Took her temp at 7:00pm....102.2. Yeah...I thought so. Gave her Tylenol and about an hour later she was feeling better.

This morning she was in a better mood and felt fine to me. By the time I got her to school she felt wam. Day care said they would really watch her. I checked in at 10:30am and they said she was fussy(not normal) but was not running a fever. They had checked twice already.

My poor girl. What is wrong??? I have no idea. I guess that is what daycare will do to you. I really wish I could stay home with her.

Oh...and I like that 'day' caregivers so much better than the 'afternoon' caregivers. Yesterday a little boy was sitting by the door so I mentioned to the caregiver that he was in a bad spot. She left him there. Did not move him. So of course what happens...a parent walks in and hits him with the door. Now when I come in I always open the door slowly just in case...but the boy should not have been there.

Day Care Question

Just in case I have any mommies browsing....

When you drop off/pick your child do you interact with any of the other children? Do you say, "Good Morning or Bye" to them?

I always do. I make a point to use each childs name and wave good-bye to them when I leave. It seems most other parents just come in grab their child and leave.

Am I odd?

Virus

Well...day care called Tues afternoon for me to pick Molly up. She had a fever.

Went to the Dr's office yestersay morning and they said it is a virus. She has run fever non-stop since then. Every four hours I give her Tylenol. Her average fever right now is 101.6. Sometimes higher somtimes lower.

She is such a good sport though. Only has gone through one crying spell. Poor girl. I am giving her all the loving I can. Hopefully she will feel better soon.

I am sure my employment is loving this! Oh well...all things will work out as needed.

Thanks

Molly is starting to feel better. She was sick from Monday till yesterday.

Today Camille came over to sit for Molly while I ran a few errands. She is so great with Molly. Camille is the best...I know I have said it before but it is so true. She spent the better half of her day sitting with Molly. I know she had better things to do.....so thank you so much Aunt Camille!!

My girl has not been sleeping at night but tonight should be better. She was falling asleep while eating her cereal and then struggled to take her bottle. I finally gave in after a couple of ounces. She was out by 8:45pm.

Thanks...Thanks...Thanks.

By the way Camille...about that converation....I would not be here today if it was not for your strong and constant support. I admire you!

I'm Hooked Again

Ok..last week I was flipping channels and came across Nashville Star on the USA Network. It is American Idol for the country scene.

Well...it hooked me.

Tonight was the first live show with the 12 contestants chosen from previous auditions around the states. It was great!!!! There were only two contestant I did not like. One was eliminated tonight.

The public and judges choose who leaves the show. Tonight the judges choose and then the public calls in and the person with the fewest votes leaves the beginning of the next show, next Sat night.

WoW..I was impressed with these people. I love all music.....but for some reason I love to hear a good country song.

One guy, Travis, has a great rock-a-billy sound. He is just his own person...Brandon has his own thing as well. Buddy has a wonderful down home feel and Miranda is so pure.

If you like country even alittle...maybe one song...you have to try and catch this show. I was touched by more than one performance. Much better than American Idol(and yes, I am a AI watcher) could ever be.

Good job USA Network.

Sleep...well not yet

She started at 1:06am and every hour after that till 4:30. She just wanted her paci, but that still meant getting up and going into her room and giving it to her.

At 4:30 she slept till 7:30. Of course then I thought something must be wrong so my body kept getting me up so I had to check on her to make sure she was breathing. :)

Hopefully tonight will be better. Gotta run just realized she is alseep...I need to get a nap in.

Have a great afternoon!

Ahh....sleep

It is a beautiful thing!

She slept through the night finally. She is feeling much better now!!!

My Girl

Molly is wearing a dress for the first time at day care. She looks sooooooo cute!!! Everyone was gushing over her.

The dresses she has, have been big or winter(needing tights) so she has only worn them a few times. Well....spring is getting close and she is finally growing enough to fit into those cute little dresses!!!

I really need to take her and get prof pictures made. I think I will have to make an appt for sometime this month.

Day Care Question

Ok...Molly is not feeling well AGAIN!!

She vomitted at school Tues, yesterday afternoon ok...but last night at 1:30am she projectile vomitted covering her and her bed. Then this morning as I am strapping her in her car carrier, she vomits all over herself.

I did change her formula last week per the Dr. And remember she does not get that much due to that I am still nursing. I have a call into the Dr.

Is it normal that she would be getting ill this much? I am thinking I might have to pull her out of that day care. I hate to do that because she loves it and they love her...but what do I do. I was out 3 1/2 days last week....

______________

Ok..nurse just called. She said it sounds like sinus drainage and that she is a normal baby in day care. We will see.

Ma! Ma!

Molly just called out for me!!!!!!

Day care called and said that she was laying in her crib crying while waiting for her bottle to heat up. Miss Brenda went over to pick her up and her slapped at her hands and cried out , "Maaaa Maaaa!"

My baby girls first words!!! I thought I heard it the a week or so ago but thought ,no it can't be she is too young.

Miss Brenda said it was very clear, no doubt at all that she was calling for her Ma Ma. They called to make my day and they did!!!

:)

My Thoughts

My prayers go out to everyone in the world.

I hold onto my child and pray for her safety every night as I am sure all parents around the world are doing.

**Like Camille these are my thoughts and not a forum for debate**

Ok..I think I have gone Overboard

This morning...I ironed Molly's clothes. Ok...I said it....

Her top was wrinkled and it had to be ironed..I could not stand it.

She looked really cute...total duck theme going. Yellow pants with a duck on the right bottom leg, ducks on the lining of the jacket and a bottom shirt with a duck print on it.

She looked quacktastic!

Oh...and Happy 5 month Birthday Molly girl!!

Great Weekend

This past weekend was wonderful! My parents came by Saturday with my niece and nephew for awhile. Molly played her little heart out and then we got to take a two hour nap!!!! Ok...mine was about a hour and 15 mins but it was wonderful!!! We all had a great time.

Sunday, we went over to a friends home and had lunch with her and two other women who brought thier children. A 6 yr old girl and an 18month(I think) little boy. My friend does not have children..but wants one. She just became engaged and they bought a house. So she had us over as a get together and housewarming.

Molly had a great time! We all sat around and chatted and then went out by the pool and hung out. I really enjoyed it.

She has a beautiful home. Extremely large and the pool and landscaping are wonderful. So relaxing with the water fountains and pool sprays. She gave me an open invitation this summer and I think Molly and I will have to take her up on it.

It was a good weekend. We both enjoyed ourselves. I was pretty tired this morning ...but it was well worth it!

Good Golly Miss Molly

We had fun last night. I had my girl cracking up....she was giggling so hard and loud. It was the best sound in the world.

Later Molly decided again that she did not want her cereal but seemed glued to the TV. So, I decided to flip channels and watch her reactions. Well...my girl LOVES music(just like her momma). I stopped on VH1 Country...I picked her up and started dancing. Yes, I know how to country dance and I am pretty darn good for a non-country girl!! She loved it!! She smiled and laughed the entire time. After several songs of non-stop dancing, I had to sit down. She continued to watch and smile.

I love that she is so into music!!! I played her music when she was in the womb and of course I always had it blaring in the vehicle or at home. It was not the classical music though, she was listening too, Amiee Mann, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Stained, Eminem, and John Melloncamp. What a varity!!!

It was a good mommy and daughter night!!

A few Pics

Here are a few pictures. Soon I hope to get a few with both of us posted.

This first is when we had the ice storm. The second, well I just thought it was cute that she is stretching her foot out on her play bar. Camille was surprised that she is in her diaper...to tell you the truth..so was I. I thought someone else must have taken the pic because I always have her completely dressed at home. :) The final is the day Camille sat for her so I could run some errands.

Better pics to come, really.

Manners

Ok, I know I have ranted about this in the past but it really gets on my nerves.

I was waiting for an elevator with another women. I pushed and button and am closer to the door that opens. I WAIT till the doors are open enough to see if there is anyone on the elevator that needs to get off. It is called MANNERS!

This women...as soon as the light comes on and the door starts to vibrate, not even open yet, she steps right up to the doors and walks in as soon as they are open enough for her to sqeeze in. Luckily there was no one on the elevator trying to get off otherwise they would have walked right into her.

That is just rude!! She had this air about her as if she was more important that me or anyone else for that matter. It made me think...what an unhappy person..a person that rude..it must be caused from something..right. I don't know maybe the women was plain selfish and never thinks about others.

Don't have time for it anymore...just needed to vent. Bad manners...a huge pet peeve of mine.

Make-Up is a Home Activity!

Women of American....PLEASE put your make-up on at home. Get your damn ass up a little earlier and put your face on. A vechicle is NOT the place for this activity. I have kept silent but just can not anymore.

You make us all look bad! NOT all women put make-up on in the car but it only takes ONE to make us ALL look bad!! I yell as loud as I can at you to stop but you can't hear me and you can't SEE me because you are so caught up in your reflection in the mirror. You are suppossed to be DRIVING!!! So drive and put that sh*t away!!!

Oh...and I do not want to hear that "I just do not have time in the morning...I have to get the kids ready..and off to school..etc." I am a single mom and I make time to get up and get my face on and do my hair! SO CAN YOU!!

Ok...I feel better now.
