Ok..she is asleep...she has been sleeping too much today...so PLEASE...PLEASE....sleep through the night!!!
Molly has been doing really well. I am hanging in. It is tough to say the least. I will not go into detail..but the breastfeeding thing has been REALLY tough for me. Molly is extremely agressive.
She seems to be getting her days and nights straight. She will eat around 9:00 or 10:00 and then sleep till somewhere between 3:30 and 5:00..eat and then sleep for about three or four more hours. That is pretty good. She stays up most of the day. That is why I am worried about today..her sleeping too much.
She has a temper though. Once she is pissed she is pissed!!! It is hard to calm her if she reaches that point.
Here is her hospital picture.

Isn't she cute!!! She has that pissed off look....
"Hurry up and get this over with!!!"
Well...it has been a week...we are both still here!
First of the week was pretty hard..Molly was ill Tues night..I think or was that Monday....no sleep at all...that night...just crying! She is much better now.
Well...Wed I just had to get to the grocery store. So...we had our first real outing that did not involve a doctor's appt.
She did really good. Car seat did not fit on the buggy so I had to put the car seat in the basket of the buggy. It worked..just did not leave much room.
After that...we ended up at the Dr's office. I had called with a simple question but whent he nurse heard Molly crying in the back ground..it opened up all sorts of questions. It was a good thing though. Molly is just really congested. They were affraid it was an ear infection..but it is not. They gave me drops to put in her nose..that along with the drops for her eyes....SHE IS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!
She is doing ok....just fussy. Oh...at the Dr they weighed her again...she is now 7 whole pounds.
Little Molly is such a cutie!
Just checking in.
Another long weekend..but not too bad. My parents actually did NOT call or come by! I was surprised. I am sure they decided to give me space. Thanks.
My friend Carla came by Friday evening and brought me that pizza I LOVE!! It was wonderful. Then Sat Vicki stopped by for a couple of hours. It was great to see and chat with both of them.
On to a new week!
Don't you just hate it when you are telling a story and the other person decides to tell you how to solve the problem...but the thing is YOU ARE JUST TELLING A STORY THERE IS NO PROBLEM!!!
First. let me apologize to Camille. I caught myself doing this to her on the phone last night. I just stopped speaking and started listening. I never said a word to Camille that I realized I was doing it...I just stopped.
I really can not stand it when others do it to me!! I would say it has been my biggest pet peave throughout my pregnancy and now that Molly is born.
Ok...I am taking 12 weeks off without pay for maternity leave. My company expected me to take the full 12 weeks. I was going to take 8 weeks then decided 12. Now I really have to take the 12 because I do not have daycare till the middle of January. And that is really HOPING the spot opens by the 20th. If not...I will not know what to do.
Do you think that is too long? I chose to deal with the money issue because I thought it was best for Molly for me to be home while I breastfed.
When others find out I am taking 12 weeks they are surprised. FMLA provides 12 weeks with a secured position in your company. It seems most women return after 6 weeks.
Now I am a workaholic..but I can not imagine leaving her after 6 weeks.
Your thoughts?
Well...Thanksgiving is here and I am ready to make my pumpkin pie! I went to the grocey store today(Molly is STILL alseep...stayed awake the entire time at the store and checked things out..but now 2 1/2 hrs later..STILL alseep!) and purchased the items needed.
I hope I have time. I really do enjoy making this pie and everyone loves it. I need to make four pies in total. 2 pumpkin and 2 pecan.
It will be my first time to make pecan pies. Hope they turn out good.
I am taking one of each to my friend Vicki's for Thanksgiving on Thurs and the the other two to my Dad's for Thanksgiving on Saturday. (I know...I know...Thanksgiving is ONLY on Thurs but they decided to have it Sat)
I will let you know what everyone thinks. Gotta run now...Oprah is coming on and it is the best one of the year. Her "Favorite Things" episode.
Bye!
2 down....2 to go!
One pumpkin is cooling and a pecan is in the oven now!!!
I have totally missed my nap though. Miss Molly has been down for two and half hours now.
I hope everyone enjoys the pies..that would make missing my nap well worth it!!
