Getting Outside My Head

I was talking to my friend the other day and at one point she said, "I just wish I could get outside my head!". I thought that was so funny, and sounded like the perfect blog name for her. She has no idea I am setting up this blog for her, so I hope she likes it! I am afraid hers is turning out better than mine, but thats okay. Considering I am still pretty new to all of this, MT, CSS and HTML. I am proud of how her site is turning out.

Last night, Shelby called around 8pm telling me her PICC Line was clogged and couldn't flush it. She called the nurse, who told her she will probably need to go to the hospital to see if they could flush it. Her doctor called soon after and told her to go to the hospital, but it was time to take the PICC Line out. This took Shelby by surprise. She thought she would have more time to prepare.

We got to the hospital, and it was packed. Once we got into see the nurse, she tried to unclog the PICC Line, however it was unsuccessful. It was time to take it out. Shelby was a bit uneasy, but was a trooper. We left there and had her prescription filled for the Zofran pills, to continue helping her with her HG. By th time we got home it was about 12:30am. She crashed.

I think that her finally starting to feel better, and getting that PICC Line out of her body last night is just the beginning of good things to come. Shelby had her first baby dream last night. It was a girl!! She said the baby was so pretty.

In fact she did cry! Shelby was feeling good today and was able to get in her car and drive herself to get her haircut. She said she got in the car, turned on the radio and "felt like a human being". She was so happy she cried. What a great day for her!!!

Well, I am at work. Arrived at 11:00 and will be leaving about 3:00 or so.

It is nice to be back in the real world; however, it can be exhausting. I had to take some time to update my new blog that was set up for me.

I will be fifteen weeks pregnant this Friday. It feels like I will be pregnant for the rest of my life. I have been so ill with HG that I get worn out blinking my eyes. I do not look pregnant at all...sometimes I think I will never begin to show and just stay tired and dragging all the time. Yes, I know...give it a month or two and I will be wishing to be thin again.:lol

I do feel much better than the past several weeks. I was home for 8 long weeks. I live in a loft in downtown Dallas, so that means no patio or back porch. The windows face the Bank One building so not much light and the walls in my loft are painted olive green.....IT CAN GET EXTREMELY GLOOMY! It is great to be outside and around people and natural light.

Over the weeks I have found out who my true friends are and want to thank them. They know who they are and I will be forever grateful that they are part of my life. Thank you! I could not have recovered without you.

I want to thank the people that called to check on me as well. It meant a great deal that you took time out of your schedule to chat with me.

Well...I do need to get some work done today.

Sorry that this entry is so choppy..have things to say but really do not have time to complete all my thoughts. The entries will get better!
