Ahhh Cake

Just took the top of our wedding cake out of the freezer and put in the fridge. I can't believe its almost been a year! I've heard all the horror stories about how horrible your cake will taste, but I have a cousin who said theirs was good b/c my aunt wrapped it so well. So, I wrapped ours over and over and over with plastic wrap, and then I put it in one of those thick brown paper bags (the kind you can get at some grocery stores to keep your frozen stuff cold for the ride home). I really hope it tastes good. I can't imagine it would taste bad. Mainly because our wedding cake was the best cake I have ever had in my life. It really was. Not because it was "our" wedding cake, but because it was good. Several of our guests commented on how wonderful our cake tasted. Haven't sold you yet? Okay, I am telling you, from the day I did a taste test at True Confections (in Tyler, Texas) of a white cake with plain Italian Creme filling, until my wedding day, it's all I talked about. Everytime someone asked me about the wedding plans, I went on and on about how I couldn't wait till the wedding just so I could eat some cake! So, you're probably wondering, if it tasted so good, how did it look? See for yourself. Donna did a wonderful job on the wedding cake and the groom's cake.
