Windows Software

Its not often that I find new windows software that I want to find these days. For the most part my workflow is smooth and I don’t need anything. How ever the latest Lockergnome IT newsletter pointed out several that sparked my interest. I’ll have to give them a whirl this week.

DriverGuide Toolkit – Lets you backup your driver and get detailed information about them. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve lost trying to get machines with touchy hardware reinstalled.

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder – lets you get keys from machines. This looks like it will be helpful for some of the poorly documented PCs that we have around the office.

UltraVNC I’ll have to see what makes it ultra, I’ve been using AT&T’s version forever, but I’ll give it a try.

AIDA32 Sysinfo tool.

I’ve been using UltraVNC through a SonicWall VPN client for quite some time now. No issues and was easy to setup.
